All Comorian vessel’s must be annually submitted to Flag State inspections by accredited Flag surveyors.

Occasional and expanded Flag Inspections may also be carried out on specific cases after serious detention / after three detention in one year and other extra ordinary cases.

In the above respect the Union of Comoros Flag Administration has organized the following Flag surveyors network which expands continuously:

Pre-registration surveys

Over aged vessels (20 years old and above) may be accepted to the International Ships Registry of the Union of Comoros, subject to a pre-registration survey by a flag surveyor.
